Located in the Meiners Oaks neighborhood of Ojai, enid and edgar is set up like a tiny village, each building stocked with quality vintage clothing and accessories and plenty of open-air shopping. Owners Sandy and Jason keep their prices astonishingly reasonable.
Some of my favorite pieces from their shop are those that are lovingly repaired by Sandy using sashiko embroidery techniques. They also carry great-fitting masks made from vintage fabric.
Inspired by Carmen Abelleira’s recurring characters and her themes of solidarity and sisterhood, we asked real-life sisters Diana Ortega and Jimena Vazquez of local farmers’ market favorite Me Gusta Gourmet Tamales to model for LA-based fashion photographer Ari Abramczyk.
